beautiful disasters

christmas fairs and bonfire nights and fireworks and burger vans and mother's birthday and chocolate cake and homemade tomato and red lentil soup and homemade scones with clotted cream and more tomato soup with basil.
the weekend was so hectic but lovely. we gave mother a huge photo in a pretty frame from the family photoshoot that took place a few months ago. sebastian did such a lovely job. and mother adored it. we were all so pleased.
it was also so lovely to see everyone on saturday. quite a few of my siblings turned up at the cottage. then we popped over the road to see some lovely fireworks. though it was a little drizzly and bits of flaming cardboard and wood were flying straight at us and caught our faces a few times.
and here are some fairly pretty and extremely blurry fireworks mixed with rainspots. i actually quite like these little accidents. infact, i almost prefer them. they look sparkly and glittery.

sometimes the best photos are the ones that didn't turn out just as you'd planned.

they capture the essence of the moment more than a clear picture of fireworks ever could

I love giving framed photos as gifts, because now that we have Facebook/Flickr etc we forget to get many of our snaps in hard copy. It's also great choosing a frame to match the person :-)

Funny how the blurry snaps can often be the most beautiful!

Ohh those firework photos are magical O_O. Your mums present sounds so lovely!

All your talk of food is making me so very hungry! O_O Alas all we have in the fridge is half a bottle of wine and one sad lemon :( Being poor does not sadly make for good eating!

Love your posts as always! <3 xx
